Having undertaken a Foundation Art Course, where I discovered a love of surface pattern and textile design, I then moved on to Central School of Art & Design, London to complete a degree in Textile Design. This course covered printed, knitted and woven textiles, but it was the art of surface pattern that I most enjoyed.

This lead to many happy years working as a printed Textile Designer gaining experience in design studios before setting up on my own. However, on being introduced to the world of acrylic paints, it seemed a natural progression to combine my love of animals and painting and expand into the world of pet portraits and animal painting, as well as the odd landscape or two! I still enjoy designing and the influence often shows through in my paintings.

Living in Tring, Hertfordshire, we have direct access to lots of wonderful countryside. We have a Labrador and a German Shorthaired Pointer, and are regularly out and about walking and exploring all the local footpaths.
